Tanya Fredman

Tanya Fredman’s work explores the connections created when diverse cultures collide.   Her paintings and collages explore her experience living in Rwanda through the lens of her own personal journey and Jewish heritage.  
Fredman attended the Summer Residency Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2010.  She studied Studio Art at Brandeis University where she graduated summa cum laude in 2008 and at the Rome University of Fine Arts in 2007.   Her work has been exhibited around the US, including The Philadelphia Museum of Jewish Art and a solo show at The Jewish Education Project in New York, both in 2011. 
She has lived in the United States, Israel, and Rwanda, and is originally from St. Louis, Missouri.
